Giovanni Versace (December 2, 1946 – July 15 1997) was a charismatic and accomplished Italian designer of clothing and theatre costumes. He was influenced by Andy Warhol and modern abstract art and considered one of the most accomplished designers of all time.
Versace presented his first signature collection for men in September 1974. Versace is now considered to be one of the world’s top designer brands. Versace clothes are worn by stars from film, music and sport. Versace ties are without doubt modern design classics.
