| To tie a four in hand knot, you should start with wide end of your tie on your right and have it hanging roughly a foot lower than the narrow end of your tie does. | Cross the wide end of your tie over the narrow end and bring the wide end back underneath. | |||

| Continue around passing the wide end of your tie across the front of the narrow end once more. | The four in hand knot is almost complete. Pass the wide end of your tie up through the loop you have created. | |||

Hold the front of the knot loosely with your index finger and pass the wide end of your tie down through the loop in front. When you remove your finger, tighten the knot carefully. Draw your tie up tight to your collar by holding the narrow end of your tie and sliding the knot up towards your collar and you have tied a four in hand knot! |
